Essential oils can play a roll and have an effect on your mind, mood, and emotions. Specific oils can effect those things in various ways. They can relax and calm you, or invigorate and energize you. They can create a sense of balance within you. They can make you feel positive and happy, or promote sleep if that's what you're trying to get help with.

When you inhale essential oils, they are inhaled through the nose, where molecules travel to the limbic system, which governs memory, stress levels, and emotions.

Different oils cause different effects by releasing neurotransmitters like serotonin and dopamine, reducing cortisol, and easing anxiety. Some oils stimulate the brains focus centers that can increase alertness, and improve focus. They can also balance emotions and create a calming effect.

There are hundreds of essential oils and they all have different attributes. It's good to get information on the specific oil and the areas it can help in.
